  Gameserve LAN User Agreement and Conditions of Use

As a participant of GameServe, it is required that gamers maintain a good general conduct while on the premises.

  • All participants must be aged 15 years minimum

  • Shoes must be worn at all times

  • No ripped or torn clothing

  • No obscene or offensive logos on clothing

  • No obscene or offensive language/gesturing

  • No alcohol or drugs. No person under the influence of these will be permitted to enter the event venue.

All persons must be respectful to fellow Gamers, Admins, Sponsors and Spectators. Other unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated and will result in a warning being placed against any such persons. Any person receiving more than one warning will be asked to leave the event without refund and may be banned from future events.

The network is provided for the purpose of both friendly and competitive gaming, and as such we take no responsibility for any data transferred over the network other than that used by games. All data transfers are at the personal risk of the users of the network, and as such we expect that no illegal activities will be performed. This includes, but is not exclusive to, the supplying of "warez" and or any type of illegal software. You are responsible for ensuring that you do nothing to violate the copyright, trademark, trade secret or any other personal or proprietary rights of any third party. This will be strictly enforced. Any illegal activity detected by Gameserve LANs will result in removal from the event, and the offender banned from future events.

Any person (s) found “attacking” another computer will be asked to leave without refund and banned from future GameServe LAN events. "Attacking" being physical, or technological abuse of in any form on another party(s) computer property. Any hacking programs must be removed before attendance at the event

Competition times are NOT negotiable. The servers will be available 15 mins prior to the starting time and it is up to the individual gamer or Clan leader to ensure that they are present at the start of the competition. Servers will not be restarted if your machine crashes, but only if the server crashes.

While we don’t “forbid” personal servers being setup, we do ask though that you clear it with an Admin first. All competitions will be held on the official GameServe LAN servers.

All competitors must use “default” installations of the games. Any person using custom mods (skins, Huds, crosshairs, scripts etc…) will be asked to re-install the game under an Admin’s supervision or to leave.

Any person(s) found damaging or vandalizing the venue or its facilities will be restrained until police arrive.

All winners must be present at the end of the event for the prize giving.

Persons not adhering to any of these rules will be asked to leave the event without refund and may be banned from future GameServe LAN Events.

These rules and terms are not negotiable.

This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction and venue of this State.

We reserve the right…

  • To ask for ID to prove that a participant is of at least 15 years of age and to ask person(s) to leave is sufficient ID isn't available or if they are under aged.

  • To perform random system scans to ensure no hacking programs, viruses  or illegal software are resident at a Gameserve event.

  • To refuse entry on account of violation of any of the rules above.

  • To ask person (s) to leave on account of violation of any of the rules above without refund.

  • Publish photographs of winners and their details on any chosen media.

  • To change these rules without any prior notice in the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (ie. The release of a new version or patch).

GameServe LANs and its Admins take no responsibility for property lost, stolen, damaged, or breach of agreement to third parties at any of its events, or for any personal injury sustained be it accidental or intentional. Gameserve LANs liability is limited to the reoccurrence of an offence upon which Gameserve LANs had prior knowledge of a prior identical offence existence.
