  • World Cyber Games BYOC Rego's OPEN!

There's no GS in September because the World Cyber Games (WCG) AU National Finals are coming to the Gold Coast, and with them is coming a 500 PC Public LAN.

It's going to be HUGE, so be sure to check out out the website HERE (you'll need to register on that site before you can rego for the event though).

There is an option to pre-pay and save on the entry fee, and as I'm based on the GC (and cause I think all you GS peeps are tops) I'm willing to make a time this week/next when I'll be somewhere local to meet and pick up your payment in person if you'd rather do that than use net banking.

Anyway, you'll be seeing all of us there and hopefully we'll catch you all there as well.
  • Lan Wrapup

Another lan has passed us by, this time with a larger variety of games played.
Farcry was a personal highlight with some very close moments between the admins and Gen. Their UT2k4 revenge was brutal and shameful for all admins involved. CoD2 was also a blast, with Gen once again facing of against the admins in the finals with Reactor, Strik3r and even c4 pulling out some clutch plays and crazy shots.

Battlefield 2 was a blast, the half room vs half room comp was the most fun I've had playing Bf2 in ages and coop against hordes of random bots was hilarious. Hopefully the issues a few people had with the 1.3 patch will be resolved before the upcoming WCG event. Speaking of which, start hinting to work for some time off soon because next month its all happening at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Come along for the lan event of the year (except Siege :D ) and watch how the pros do it.

    Cyas there!
